`Huh?' Gui Gui turned around. `Are you saying me?'

`Yeah, you.' Wang Zi glanced at Gui Gui with a toss of his head. `Care to go to the movies later with me?' Ya Tou's eyebrows shot up so high that they were barely visible. However, she had the sense of not to turn behind and interrupt. Aaron, bending down to do his work, was also surprised but he didn't say anything.

Gui Gui hestitated. `Sure, he is handsome alright and rich. But isn't he the renowned playboy? He will dumped me after the first date, won't he?' she thought. `I got to reject him.' she decided.

`Sorry, I have something on tonight so I am not free. Perhaps you can take Ya Tou?' Gui Gui looked around at her best friend but Ya Tou shook her head vigorously.

Gui Gui sighed and turned back to Wang Zi. He looked shocked that his charm had not worked on yet ANOTHER girl. `You are sure you want to reject me?' he asked coldly.

`Yes,' Gui Gui answered shortly before turning in her seat.

Wang Zi gaped at the back view of her head and fumed silently, `You will get it from me, Ghost. You will. Me, the Prince, being rejected? You will wish you never say no.' He thought in anger.

RING!!! RING!!! The bell rang for the second time, signalling the end of the school day.

`Come on, Gui! Lets go to the mall later!' Ya Tou hurriedly stuffed her things into her bag as she pulled Gui Gui along.

Wang Zi watched them go and he sweared never to be intidimated by that ghost, Gui Gui anymore.

* The next day....*

* At Ya Tou's and Gui Gui's house....*

`Gui, can you go to school first? I have to finish up this project so I think I will be late today,' Ya Tou looked up from the course book she had been poring over since just now.

`Okay,' Gui Gui gobbled down her breakfast and grabbed her bag before heading out of the house.

Just as she was nearing the road that turned out of the neighbourhood, a motorcycle roared down the road and skidded to a stop beside her.

`Hey, Gui Gui!' the rider took of his helmet and it turned out to be Wang Zi. He grinned and leapt off his seat to lean against the bike.

`Urgh, don't tell me that he is going to ask me out again? Why is he so annoying?' Gui Gui glanced at Wang Zi.

`I just want to tell you,' he came closer to her until their noses almost touched and said, `You can forget the incident yesterday. I was just pulling your leg. How could I fall for you? Fatso.'

Wang Zi smirked and left while calling, `Don't be late for school, Gui. I don't want to tell the teacher you're late because you are mesmerized by my charm!'

Gui Gui glared at his back view and clutched her blushing cheeks. `Oh my god! What was I thinking? That he is going to kiss me? Me and him are not possible. Never!'

She clutched her bag tighter and walked determinedly to school. When she reached he school gates, throngs of girls were crowding around a motorbike.

Gui Gui glanced at the bike and sighed. She doesn't had to ask what was happening. Those enthusiatic girls were gathering arond Wang Zi, of course. Gui Gui held her head high up and walked firmly past them. She saw Wang Zi glanced at her and smirked. That smirk of his made Gui Gui's temper rise and she stopped to glare at the obnoxious Wang Zi.

Wang Zi pushed away the eager girls around him and strolled confidently towards Gui Gui who was standing a few metres away.

He smiled to himself and grabbed hold of Gui Gui's arm, looked at her deep into her eyes and said, `This is my new-found true love. A girl who I can pour everything out to her. Let me introduce, Gui Gui of Class 206!'

Aaron, who was just entering the school, was mildly shocked by his friend's public confession. He leant against the wall and looked with interest at Gui Gui who were now being held by Wang Zi.

The petrified Gui Gui who was now in the limelight was sweating profusely, `Oh my god! Did he mean all this? I mean, THE Prince from our school, our school?!' She didn't know what to do at the moment and she was immensely thankful when Wang Zi let go of her.

Then, Wang Zi smirked again and turned towards the pupils who were watching them with bated breath and roared, `Do you think I will fall for her?! I mean, a girl as plain as you should be looking into the mirror more often! Well, Gui Gui, hurry home to your Momma Mirror!'

He bowed to the spectators like a performer about to leave the stage and there was a general bout of applause and boos for Gui Gui from some of Wang Zi's `fans'.

Gui Gui stared, horrified, at Wang Zi who were now wearing a truimpant smile and the truth dawned on her. Wang Zi was just paying her back for saying no to his invitation that time. The creep! she thought in anger.

She quickly whipped her head round and ran the whole way back to the classroom. Gui Gui was determined not to let Wang Zi see her break down and cry.

As Aaron watch Gui Gui ran into the school with tears streaking her face, he felt a stab of pity for her but nothing else more. It took a great deal to made Aaron feel sympathy for others. And now he was feeling that as he stared at the forlorn girl sprinting into the hallways.....
