* In the school hallways after school...*
`Prince! Please wait!' a shriek rang out from a classroom Wang Zi was walking past at that moment. Aaron who was beside him tossed a mildly curious glance at his best friend, and Wang Zi waved at him to signal for Aaron to go first.
Aaron shrugged uncaringly and strolled off. He was used to girls chasing after Wang Zi and him flirting back. He walked towards the fountain at the front of the school to wait for Wang Zi.
Three girls who were hurrying past him squealed in excitement and glanced at him as they walked off but they didn't go far. They sat on a bench opposite him and started talking loudly to attract his attention.
Aaron who was clear that they were interested in him just glanced up and raised his eyebrows, causing them to sigh and gasp. He rolled his eyes upwards and vowed to himself again not to fall in love as relationships had caused him and the girls concerned hurt. That was why he was not interested in girlfriends unlike his best friend, Wang Zi.
* Meanwhile... *
`Hiiiii... Wang Ziiiii!!!!!' thrilled a girl who was quite good-looking but she looked rich and proud.
`Hi, baby!' Wang Zi tossed a casual grin at her and smirked to himself as the girl and her friends gasp in admiration.
`I.. I am Candy Xu Xue Lan. You can call me Candy,' she took a deep breath and continued, `I have a huge crush on you since the first day you are here and I hope you can give me a chance.'
Candy stopped and looked at Wang Zi before continuing, `Please?'
Wang Zi grinned and replied, `Of course, see you at The Checkers tonight, you know where it is right?'
`Are you kidding?! It is the most popular date venue EVER!' Candy cried. `See you tonight!' she fluffed out her hair and turned around to giggle along with her friends before walking away.
Wang Zi shook his head at her back view and murmured to himself, `Do you think I will fall for you, Candy Xu? I am just playing around.'
He hoisted his sling bag higher up on his shoulder and strolled to the school fountain where he knew Aaron would be there.
* Meanwhile, at the fountain... *
`Aaron,' a high voice sounded next to him. He raised his head to look at a girl with ponytails and lots of makeup standing in front of him before asking her, `Yes?'
The girl blushed and stuttered, `Um, I... erm, actually,' she took a deep breath and shouted, `I like you!!!'
She blushed an ever deeper shade and said in a low voice, `Can you... can you go out with me for a few times... to... to... to see if we had any chance?'
Aaron looked at her and replied, `Sorry but I am just not interested in relationships at the moment. Ask someone else, like Wang Zi perhaps?'
He looked down at the magazine he was holding and continue reading it like nothing had happened. The girl stared at him in disbelief and walked away in a huff.
Wang Zi who had witnessed the whole incident grinned slightly to himself and thought, `As I thought, he is still thinking of the past even though he denies it.'
He made his way towards Aaron but was stopped by a girl who rushed out in front of him and spread her arms out to prevent him from walking any further.
`Hey!' Wang Zi fell to the ground as he was shocked at the girl's sudden appearence. Aaron looked up at the sound of Wang Zi exclamation. He intended to make a beeline towards his friend but stopped when he saw who the girl was and Gui Gui was hiding behind her. Aaron decided it was better for Wang Zi to sort things out himself.
Wang Zi leapt to his feet and turned angrily to the girl who had caused his fall. `If you are going to ask me out by this lame tactic, you are....' His eyebrows shot up as he exclaimed, `Ya Tou!'
`What do you mean by this?' he tried to keep his voice calm before noticing Gui Gui behind Ya Tou.
`Oh, I understand, Gui Gui asked you to come and confront me right?' Wang Zi smirked. `Let me tell you one thing, it is useless. I want to tease her means I will tease her. So save your breath, Ya Tou!'
Ya Tou who looked like she was at the boiling point burst out, `She didn't even DO anything to you! Why can't you just leave her alone?!'
`Cause I like it,' He winked at Ya Tou who was in rage on Gui Gui's behalf and strolled off.
Aaron grabbed his things and hurried off with Wang Zi. He fell into steps with his best friend and questioned him, `Do you have to be so mean?'
Wang Zi glanced back, `What do you mean?'
Aaron answered sharply, `You know what I am talking about. Gui Gui. She doesn't do anything, right?'
Wang Zi smiled, `I am just playing around with her. I will drop her after a few days.'
Aaron sighed in disappointment. There is no use talking with Wang Zi, he knew. But he couldn't help feeling sorry for Gui Gui who had unknowingly offended Wang Zi.
* Meanwhile, at Gui Gui and Ya Tou's... *
Ya Tou glared at the back view of Wang Zi who was walking away and tried to chase him but Gui Gui stopped her.
`Gui! Don't you want me to teach the arrogant prince a lesson?!' Ya Tou questioned Gui Gui.
Gui Gui glanced at her best friend and replied, `Never mind, Ya Tou. I still can put up with him. But if he push me any further, I will report him to the teacher. I just don't want any more trouble.'
Ya Tou stared at Gui Gui for a long time before answering, `Well, if it is your wish, then I can do nothing about it. Let's go to my house later! I know my mum is making your favourite sizzling bean curd!'
Gui Gui smiled but said, `Sorry Ya Tou, but I am a bit of tired today. Why not tomorrow?'
`Oh, okay!' Ya Tou nodded understandingly and linked her arms together with Gui Gui as they walked back home.
* Later that night... *
* At The Checkers... *
`Wang Zi, don't you think the atmosphere is so romantic tonight?' his date, Candy Xu leant forward to get closer to Wang Zi.
Wang Zi grinned and fed a spoonful of pasta into her mouth. `Yeah, where you want to go later?'
`Oh, anywhere. As long as I am with you...,' Candy gazed at Wang Zi with glazed eyes.
* While Wang Zi had his date, Gui Gui was at home, on her balcony... *
`What's happening to me? Why is that Wang Zi teases me so much but I don't mind? Is it because I had fallen for him?' Gui Gui cupped her face with her hands and thought.
`Should I confess to him tomorrow or should I wait?' Gui Gui paced around the balcony. `I should wait and see what will happen.' She decided.
